My hair smells of lavender
My skin smells the same
I'm as soft as a whisper
A ghost with no name

My eyes are like chocolate
My hair's unruly, untamed
I'm chilled like September
Sunshine on the brink of winter's pain

My nails are all uneven
My body's full of scars
I'm singing and playing
Making my tribute to the stars

My feet are dirty
My armpits have hair
I'm learning slowly
I can love each and every layer

My knees are knocking
My elbows are giving way
I'm aging and decaying
While living day by day

My freckles are constant
My cheek bones are high
I'm learning to smile
With every passing sigh

My wounds are all healing
My scars are slyly proud
I'm dancing and creating
Infusing my consciousness in the clouds

My tears may be heavy
My back still stands straight
I'm falling and climbing
I'm the key to my gait

My jeans are dirty
My shoes still have souls
This trial ahead of me
Has already been told

My fingers are wrinkly
My feet are still ticklish
I'm quitting and will never stop
Being childish

My wrinkles are starting to crease
My stretch marks are stretchy
I'm reminded of old connections
When the music can catch me

My youth is in tact
My wisdom is growing
I'm watching my son rise
An effervescent glowing
