Death is always on my mind
Slowly eats away my soul
Cancer of appointed time
Surrendered void - lose control
My soul's torn out
Sold to addict-tions
Self-serving black hole
Painful self-afflictions
Melted minds of misery
Makes music through my muscles
Artificial movements of an
Internal symphonic hustle
Friends and foes
All look alike
Their intentions I cannot see
Manifestations of
Perceptions
Becoming reality
For today I'm dead
No, I haven't risen from the ashes
An eternal sleep
I'd rather snooze than be factitious
Or be factious
Causing dissonance
Rest - cease to sound.
Melodic murders of
This child
Who was never found
A single note extracted
From a chord
Sticking out sorely
Judged by the bored
Just give me my penance
I'm done balancing your scales
I'm stuck in Hades while
Heaven's behind a veil
Yet still I wait for dissipation
I cannot shake off the anticipation
(And that, my friends, is an understatement)
But, my lesson here is: Patience.
Avoiding- at all costs- being latent...
So, I'll feed my mind
Create a tide
Until I create a rumble
Cause I'd hate to see
The ones I love
Take a similar stumble
Now, while I wait
At Heaven's gate
I'll contemplate my sins
And change my ways
So when I reincarnate
I won't commit them again.
